We're coming to the Windy City for multiple events in April

Hello, everyone!

You’ve been asking and we finally have answers! Yes, we will be coming to Chicago as part of our Life After Cars book tour this spring and have multiple events planned there. Consider this a save the date with a little extra something, if you will.

First up, we’ll be doing a casual event with our friends at the Climate Action Museum on Friday, April 3rd. If you’re not familiar with CAM, it’s a very cool space dedicated to activating, “a tipping point on climate mitigation in the Chicago region through education, stimulating critical thought, and inspiring and facilitating action.” This will be a fundraiser and mixer, so please come, say hello, and meet fellow Chicagoans. Doug visited last year and we’re so excited to support this unique museum and its mission. Get tickets and donate here.

The following evening — Saturday, April 4th — we’ll be doing a big show in partnership with Active Transportation Alliance and Better Streets Chicago. Tickets are not yet on sale, but we should have an announcement soon. We’re working on a presale for our Patreon members as well as members of these amazing advocacy organizations. If you’re in Chicago and don’t already support Active Transportation Alliance and Better Streets, please do!

After that, we’re working on a smaller bookstore event in one of the Chicago suburbs. We’re not sure which one, although assume something in the Evanston or a nearby location. (We do not condone making a bet on Kalshi or some other prediction market on this one.)

We’re really excited to finally make it to the Windy City! It really is one of the best cities in the United States, although we promise not to make too many “Come on, you call this pizza?!?!?” jokes while we’re there. Doug’s wife is from Wilmette, so as soon as tickets go on sale we recommend getting yours, lest his mother in-law purchase them all first.
